Illuminating Lives, One Candle at a Time
One candle produces enough light to illuminate the darkest of places.
A year ago we officially launched Bodhi's Light on Father's Day. The idea behind this was two-fold. It was our hope that our candles were not merely home fragrance accessories, but also an experience in gratitude, joy, and giving light to the many lives that our candles could reach. The other, was to celebrate that we were still a family that celebrated milestones, like birthdays with candles and cake, graduations, anniversaries, weddings, Mother's Day, and of course, Father's Day.
The idea for our company, Bodhi's Light was conceived in darkness, a cold intensive care unit where the life of our co-founder hung in the balance nearly two years ago. But we were also surrounded with the warmest nurses and doctors who saved our co-founder's life. Inspired by the light of our son, Bodhi, and the light of our healthcare heroes, we decided to create Bodhi's Light. Our mission and goal was easy: Illuminating lives, one candle at a time.
Nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers illuminated our lives in 2019 when they saved our co-founder's life! We wanted to repay them by giving that light back through our signature Gratitude Candles.
Every quarter your purchase helps us donate Gratitude Candles to local health care heroes who do so much by taking care of our loved ones.
Our goal and mission is: Illuminating lives, one candle at a time; just as our heroes did for us in 2019.
With your purchase you are helping us fulfill our mission.
THANK YOU! xoxo
As we celebrate our one year anniversary this month on Father's Day, we reflect on how we illuminated lives since day one. Here are some milestones:
85 candles and food to the Mission Hospital ICU.
95 candles to an Orange County Hospital sub-ICU.
Late June: 125 candles to a local Orange County Hospital rehabilitation unit.
Featured by Mission Hospital in May for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.
Featured nationally in Lorissa's List for Mother's Day and beyond.
Featured by Hey Mama Co.
Partnered with The W Marketplace and the OCIE SBDC.
We've hand-poured over a thousand candles to date. We can't wait to create a bigger candle workshop soon! Stay tuned.
